Elissa Federoff lives in Brooklyn, NY and holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She worked in real estate for three years before realizing her true passion for a career in film. After juggling various internships and freelance projects she took a position in the Publicity Department of The Weinstein Company, where she remains today. Postcards from Tora Bora is her first independent documentary feature project.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER STATEMENT
Having worked at ThinkFilm, The Weinstein Company, and now Lionsgate in film sales and promotions, I was eager to take on an independent film project. After watching a roughcut of Postcards from Tora Bora, I knew that this was unlike any other documentary on Afghanistan. Though I was too young to recollect the Cold War, I immediately saw its interconnectedness with where America finds itself today. With its unique personal perspective and creative use of animations and super-8 home movies, Postcards demystifies the abstraction of America's "War on Terror". Since joining the team, I have worked in many capacities from promotions to story consulting.
